Assist staff as necessary and according to the level of certification or training achieved.
â Receive medical supplies and store them properly. Provide accurate documentation and
inventory.
â Transcribe prescription requests and enter information into log; create labels and Medication
Administration Records.
â Initiates health records for inmates/detainees. Maintains confidentiality of all medical record
information. Monitors and maintains accountability for all health records on file.
â Pulls and prepares health records for practitioners (medical, dental and mental health), sick call,
chronic care visits and transfers.
â Files loose paperwork and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
â Ensure medical supply cart, trauma bag, the PPE room and the facility first aid kits are fully and
accurately stocked at all times.
â Submit order forms for medical and office supplies, under supervision of Registered Nurse and
Physician.
â Assist with maintenance of the Sick Call, Chronic Clinic, and Specialty Logs.
â Provide patient care according to nurse or physician instructions and appropriate to level of
training.
â Perform 15-minute checks on identified patients and document encounters.
â It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her
capabilities as determined by management.
