Duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide excellent customer service to clients and vendors and fellow employees, and represent LTBB Health Department in a professional, positive manner Recognizes and is sensitive to the cultural dimension inherent in the practice of health education in Native American communities. Must be culturally competent and meet the health literacy and linguistic needs of target populations Provide daily support to Epic application users via troubleshooting and coaching Become and stay proficient in Epic and Archive system, including creating quick notes, templates, patient panels, etc. Create efficiency and streamline processes for providers and medical staff by improving the Epic system. Seek assistance from OCHIN Epic and Bemidji Area Office as needed. Coordinates efforts to correct deficiencies and workflow errors that occur within Epic EMR, working with clinical staff on corrective actions and issue resolution Identify, assess, and troubleshoot application and equipment issues as they occur. Open and monitor tickets to address system issues, build updates, system breaks, and optimization requests. Maintain system setup parameters, including preference lists, SmartPhrases, Smartlists, Patient Letters, Lot Manager, and fee schedules. Create new Epic Users and maintain access to ELLA resources and third-party systems Manage error queues and In Basket pools to support smooth operation of all EMR systems and supporting components. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to test new features and upgrades for Enhancement Pack and Service Pack updates Collaborate with leadership and users, identifying efficiency-enhancing opportunities in clinic operations and practice support to help improve health outcomes. Participates in quality improvement processes for the LTBB Health Department. Responsible for collecting data for and preparing monthly and quarterly statistical reports as requested. Provides training to all new staff members on Epic EMR and verify all profiles are complete and accurate for job rules and responsibilities. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: In addition to the KSAs below, Bachelor Degree in Business, Health Administration, or Information Systems required. Two years working with electronic medical record system required. Experience working with Tribal communities preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
