The Clinical Administrator I within the Department of Medicine at the School of Medicine is responsible for administration of assigned divisions within the department. This includes but is not limited to financial management, clinical operations management, satellite clinic management, research operations, event planning, human resources and faculty affairs, research operations, clinical operations, events and conference management, office management, oversight of outpatient clinics, administration of training programs, and fund-raising activities in conjunction with leadership to help build the endowment portfolio and expand alumni and referral networks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor''s degree with 2 years directly related work experience or high school diploma or equivalent with 6 years'' directly related work experience

  • 2 years or 6 years, depending on education

  • Clinical operations experience

  • Familiarity with sponsored research funding and grants management

  • Supervisory experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree

  • Academic or healthcare background

  • Ability to build and motivate a team

  • Understanding of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid billing and compliance

  • Ability to use data to inform planning and decision-making

  • Ability to function independently and to work well on a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to build and manage budgets

  • High proficiency with excel and computer software packages

  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
