Catholic Charities of Baltimore Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter the Behavior Health Clinic (BHC). Who will also provide a professional and efficient administrative and clerical assistance to the clinic staff, vendors, visitors, and clients. The work schedule is Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week between the hours 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (flexibility is required- schedule may vary)

Villa Maria Behavioral Health Clinics provide mental and behavioral health services to children, adults, and families across Maryland. These services include individual counseling, family counseling, psychiatric evaluation, social and coping skill development, addiction counseling and treatment, and medication management.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides general administrative/clerical assistance, including but not limited to answering telephones, providing assistance to the caller when appropriate, transferring calls, and/or taking messages.
  • Maintains the schedule for the site psychiatry team to ensure the prescriber's time is appropriately utilized.
  • Receives telephone, in house, and faxed client referrals for the clinic.
  • Prepares and answers requests from various internal and external individuals/agencies for information or records
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years' experience with clerical or office work
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, patients' families, visitors, clinical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to observe and communicate with others
