Clinic Support Supervisor - Gunbarrel Medical Center

$24.04 - $36.07 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week



Boulder Community Health is seeking a Clinic Support Supervisor for Gunbarrel Medical Center who provides general supervision of front office staff as well as performing the functions of a Clinic Receptionist. Duties include but are not limited to: training new members of the clinic reception team, preparing clinic reception Service Excellence Evaluations, assisting in the development of and streamlining of front office procedures, maintaining employee work schedules and PTO (paid time off) requests, and facilitating bi-weekly front office meetings. Responsible for making sure all miscellaneous front office tasks are completed, meeting and greeting patients, answering phones, triaging calls, scheduling patients, verifying and updating patient information, screening callers for appropriate insurance information, taking messages, obtaining physician orders for patient treatment, and acting as a patient liaison. Develops, trains, and implements new front office and scheduling work flows. Working with physicians, practitioners and other staff members, maintains a high level of professionalism and maintains strict confidentiality.

Qualifications 

•High school graduate or GED preferred, with additional management courses desired.

•Prefer 3 to 4 years of reception experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

•Prefer 1 year supervisory experience.



Responsibilities

•Performs annual Service Excellence Evaluation for all support staff.

•Performs 90-day competency based orientation for all new/transfer staff.

•Performs essential functions of a medical receptionist.

•Supervises front office staff and ensures office systems run efficiently and effectively.

•Maintains support staff work schedule.

•Trains and orients front office personnel.

•Provides director with input regarding staff performance for evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

•Ensures adequate staffing to cover for vacations and illnesses.

•Resolves problems/conflict and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.

•Ensures that staff is productive and views the clinic in a positive working environment.

•Coordinates front desk staff meetings as needed.

•Adhere to best practices and evidence-based guidelines to provide patient-centric care.

•Is familiar with organization, department and job-specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
