Summary

Oversees day to day clinic operations with responsibilities of staffing, budgeting, patient and provider satisfaction, development/and implementation of practice specific policies and procedures, compliance, and quality. Collaborates with practice providers to maintain and improve patient care and service delivery.

This role will lead operations for Carson Tahoe Medical Group across five specialty clinics: Oncology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Wound Care, and MOM's Clinic.

Qualifications

Required:

• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in healthcare
• Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers

Preferred:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration or related field
• Experience in more than one practice specialty
• Knowledge of medical professional billing and coding
• American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification for healthcare providers

Essential Functions

• Manages and directs staff for all clinical and non-clinical office operations. Arranges daily coverage schedules and completion of practice functions as staffing levels and patient volumes fluctuate. Develops and manages staff and provider time off schedules.
• Administers human resource functions including staffing, scheduling, orientation, training and performance evaluation for all staff. Monitors and approves timecards daily and monitors staffing variance reports and takes corrective action when actual FTE exceed earned and budget FTEs.
• Prepares and recommends budget for operating, personnel and capital expenditures. Monitors budget for adherence to plan. Applies proper and economical utilization of supplies and equipment. Offers suggestions to conserve or improve current procedures/budgetary guidelines.
• In concert with physician chiefs, medical directors and hospital director, develops and implements practice goals and objectives which reflect Clinic and Carson Tahoe Health System mission and vision statements. Identifies opportunities for improving patient satisfaction and operations; collaborates with Hospital Director and physicians to implement recommendations.
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Facilitates and participates in planning change and improvements. Works both independently and as a team member to insure the goals of the practices are met.
• Ensures timely and accurate new hire and annual renewal of credentials for physicians and advanced practice clinicians, including tracking CME's and reimbursement.
• Responsible for maintaining CLIA waiver license for each clinic if applicable including following all lab guidelines and requirements as laid out by the Nevada Department of Health.
• Responsible for tracking and achieving Carson Tahoe Health System and Carson Tahoe Medical Group board approved goals and initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
