How you'll contribute:

Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

  • To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
  • Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
  • Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards.
  • Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff
  • Other duties as requested
