Job description:


Position Overview


We are seeking a Client Service Specialist / Account Manager with proven experience in a clinical laboratory environment. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring a high level of service for our physician partners. Prior account management or client service experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting is REQUIRED.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for physician offices and clients
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while ensuring client satisfaction
  • Coordinate with internal teams (lab, billing, pre-analytical) to resolve issues quickly
  • Support onboarding of new clients, including setup and training
  • Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with test menu inquiries (e.g., PCR, STI, UTI, Pap, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory processes and regulatory requirements
Qualifications


  • Required: 2+ years of proven experience working in a clinical laboratory
  • Strong understanding of lab workflows, specimen handling, and client needs
  • Experience managing physician office relationships
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with LIS, EMR/EHR systems, and basic reporting tools
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Preferred


  • Experience with women’s health, infectious disease, or molecular testing
  • Knowledge of billing processes and insurance workflows
