We are seeking an experienced Client Advisory Services (CAS) Manager to lead a growing team that provides outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting services to a diverse client base. This leadership role is responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing accounting engagements, mentoring staff, and driving operational excellence while delivering exceptional client service.


The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients improve their financial operations.


OVERVIEW OF THE CAS MANAGER ROLE:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounting and advisory clients.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting services.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

  • Provide accounting guidance and recommendations to support clients' financial goals.

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements.

  • Review and prepare financial statements using both cash and accrual basis accounting.

  • Monitor general ledger activity and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist clients with complex accounting questions and financial reporting needs.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal quality expectations.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

  • Review work completed by staff and provide coaching and constructive feedback.

  • Delegate assignments while managing workload, priorities, and deadlines.

  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team environment.

  • Support the continued growth of the Client Advisory Services practice.

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and increase efficiency.

  • Participate in business development activities and networking opportunities as appropriate.

  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement across client engagements.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CAS MANAGER:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting experience.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing client relationships and supervising accounting staff.

  • Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.

  • CPA or CMA designation is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
