    Position: Clerk, High School AP/Counselor

    Job Description:

    Facilitate the efficient operation of campus administration office and provide clerical services to the assistant principal and counselor. Handle confidential information and frequent contact with all levels of district personnel, outside agencies, and the general public.

    Job Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Proficient skills in typing, word processing, file maintenance, computers, and office equipment
    • Knowledge of school district organization and operations preferred
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assist the assistant principal and counselor with the routine work activities of the campus office. Handle confidential information and contact with all levels of district personnel, outside agencies, parents, and the general public.

    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

    Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

    Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

    Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

    Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

    Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours

    Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
