Job Summary
Clerical Technician for After School Program (Success Express) Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, perform a variety of clerical duties of moderate difficulty in support of an assigned school or District office, department or program. Perform a variety of typing and clerical work, such as standard and statistical typing, checking, proofreading, filing, posting information on records, and compiling basic information for reports and summaries; inputs data into a computer terminal. Compose and type routine memos/correspondence as directed by a supervisor; type confidential and technical reports; type rough and final copy of material from clear copy or written rough drafts; operate a computer terminal with various types of software packages including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Collect absence slips and verify absences, contacting parents when necessary; post absences daily and maintain accurate records. Input data into an assigned computer system; maintain automated records; create basic queries; generate computerized reports and documents as requested; review input and output data for accuracy. Prepare, print, distribute, collect, verify and file various forms, applications and paperwork; compile, assemble and distribute packets and folders; review and verify accuracy and completeness of various forms and documents. Assist with enrollment or health procedures as assigned. Greet and assist students, staff, parents and the public; respond to inquires and provide a variety of general information to District personnel, outside agencies and the general public. Receive, sort and distribute mail as required; prepare outgoing mail for distribution. Monitor inventory and maintain inventory of office and other designated supplies as required; assist with ordering, receiving and maintaining inventory of office supplies.

An employee requesting to transfer from one work site to another work site in the same job classification, must complete and submit a classified Request for Transfer to the Personnel Office prior to the deadline. Outside applicants will also be considered.
