The Classroom Teacher provides students with educational activities promoting their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, preparing them to be productive members of society.
- Designs and implements lesson plans aligned with curriculum and student learning styles, collaborating with special education staff and using technology.
- Assesses student progress through formal and informal testing, and supports their study habits and extracurricular involvement.
- Maintains classroom organization, enforces behavior policies, and ensures a safe learning environment.
- Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff, and the community, fostering professional relationships.
- Engages in ongoing professional development and adheres to regulations and policies.
- Supervises assigned aides and manages classroom and administrative duties.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, valid Texas Teacher Certification (preferred), ESL certification (preferred for ELA), and proficiency with classroom technology. Extended hours and some lifting may be required.
