Job Description
One Bright Ray Community High School is an accelerated program in the School District of Philadelphias Opportunity Network. We work with students who have not been successful in traditional high schools. We are currently hiring instructors for our Evening Campuses.
The Evening Campuses enroll adults of any age and help them work towards a standard high school diploma. All classes are Monday to Thursday from 4:30pm to 8:35pm. We are currently hiring instructors for two locations:
The Mansion Evening Campus 3133 Ridge Ave
The Simpson Evening Campus 1142 E Erie Ave
One Bright Ray Evening Campus is accepting resumes for a PA Certified English Teacher for the current 2025-2026 Academic School Year.
Requirements for Aspiring Community Members
Certified teachers Passionate about working with adult learners Creative and flexible in creating rigorous instruction that connects to real-world opportunities Able to engage adults in an alternative approach to teaching and learning Patients with learners who need additional support Open to developing their reflective practices and continuing their professional growth
Position Details
Part-Time Paid Time Off (PTO) Wednesday and Thursday 4:30pm-8:35pm
Compensation
Part-Time Teaching positions start at $40 hourly
