Description: This position is a .4 Lead Teacher and .6 College and Career Pathways Coordinator. Interested candidates should have strong organizational skills, a passion for creating and supporting post-secondary opportunities for high school students, and experience with curriculum and pathway development. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience related to student services and behavior.
Responsibilities may include:
- Pathway Development: Expand and oversee the high schools Career Clusters and specialized pathway programs
- Work-Based Learning: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate student internships, job-shadowing experiences, apprenticeships, and college/career fairs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and higher education institutions
- Support the implementation and expansion of ECE and AP offerings at EHS
- Performing lead teacher related duties as assigned by the principal including but not limited to the following:
- 504 Administrator designee
- Discipline Referrals
- 8th Grade Transition to EHS
Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a valid grade appropriate Connecticut teaching certificate.
- A Connecticut 092 Intermediate Administration certification is preferred, as is an 104 endorsement.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Demonstrated teacher leadership capabilities
