Job Description:

Description: This position is a .4 Lead Teacher and .6 College and Career Pathways Coordinator. Interested candidates should have strong organizational skills, a passion for creating and supporting post-secondary opportunities for high school students, and experience with curriculum and pathway development. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience related to student services and behavior.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Pathway Development: Expand and oversee the high schools Career Clusters and specialized pathway programs
  • Work-Based Learning: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate student internships, job-shadowing experiences, apprenticeships, and college/career fairs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and higher education institutions
  • Support the implementation and expansion of ECE and AP offerings at EHS
  • Performing lead teacher related duties as assigned by the principal including but not limited to the following:
  • 504 Administrator designee
  • Discipline Referrals
  • 8th Grade Transition to EHS

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a valid grade appropriate Connecticut teaching certificate.
  • A Connecticut 092 Intermediate Administration certification is preferred, as is an 104 endorsement.
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
  • Demonstrated teacher leadership capabilities
