Join Our Team as an Instructional Aide & Lunch/Recess Supervisor at Drought School! Are you passionate about supporting students and creating a positive learning environment? Do you enjoy being hands-on in a school setting? We are looking for a dedicated Instructional Aide & Lunch/Recess Supervisor to join our team at Drought School. Position: Instructional AideHours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m when students are in session. (30-minute daily lunch break) About Us:At Drought School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. As an Instructional Aide and recess/lunch supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers, assisting students, and contributing to the overall success of our educational programs. Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in preparing materials and resources for lessons. Provide support to students with special education needs, under the guidance of classroom teachers and special education staff. Supervise and engage students during recess/lunch and other non-instructional periods. Assist with classroom management and student behavior, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational plans and interventions. Support individual students or small groups in academic and social-emotional learning activities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred). Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or childcare setting. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
