We are seeking a Class A Truck Driver to safely and efficiently transport materials to job sites and customer locations throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. This role is a union-represented position and plays a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction, safety, and on-time delivery.
The successful candidate will operate commercial vehicles in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA), U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and New Jersey state regulations, while demonstrating strong customer service, teamwork, and safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate commercial vehicles safely, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and lift-gate equipped vehicles
Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and applicable state transportation regulations
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Transport materials to customer locations and job sites across NJ, NY, and PA
Properly position equipment at dock doors for loading and unloading
Pick up empty trailers and replace them with full trailers as required
Work directly with customers at job sites to determine appropriate trailer drop locations
Verify deliveries against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and ensure accurate documentation
Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage, and fuel records in accordance with DOT requirements
Provide professional customer service at all delivery locations
Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills
- - -Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- - -Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- - -Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
- - -Experience operating electric pallet jacks and lift-gate trailers
- - -Ability to pass a DOT Physical Examination in accordance with Federal and New Jersey requirements (vision, hearing, and physical fitness standards apply)
- - -Knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and transportation operations
- - -Strong verbal communication skills
- - -Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- - -Excellent attendance and reliability required
- - -Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations

- - -Indoor warehouse and yard work: approximately 20%
- - -Outdoor driving and job site work: approximately 80%
- - -Exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial environments

- - -This position is a union-represented role; wages, benefits, overtime, and work rules are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

o Valid CDL with acceptable driving record
