    Description

    Temporary position.
    This role involves weekly long-haul driving to Arizona, along with local deliveries throughout the week.
    The ideal candidate must be comfortable handling both driving and warehouse-related responsibilities.

    CDL Requirements
    " Driver must hold a valid CDL with the correct class and any needed endorsements (P, S, H, etc.).
    DOT Medical + Drug/Alcohol Requirements
    Must have a valid DOT Medical Examiner s Certificate.
    Pre employment drug test is required.
    Employer must run a Clearinghouse full query before allowing a driver to operate and conduct annual queries.
    Driver Qualification File (DQF) Employer Must Maintain
    Required documents include:
    " Employment application with the required work history.
    " Initial MVR + annual MVR updates.
    " Safety Performance History (last 3 years).
    " Road test certificate.
    " Medical card, pre-employment drug test results, Clearinghouse query results, and annual driving record review.
    Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle for long-haul and local deliveries
    Drive to Arizona every Monday and return as scheduled
    Perform local deliveries to various branches Tuesday through Friday
    Load and unload materials at the branch and delivery locations
    Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack
    Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely
    Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
    Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
    The Class A Driver will be responsible for the delivery and setup of client equipment in a safe, efficient, and professional manner at the customer job site or a client Service Center site. In this role, the individual will also record transactions accurately and assist in the yard when not engaged in driving responsibilities.
    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist yard and field personnel in loading and unloading trucks with Godwin pumping equipment. Secure all items loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel in accordance with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) Federal Department of Transportation, and local Department of Transportation guidelines. Review all items to be delivered (or picked up) with customer to ensure completeness and accuracy. Obtain customer?s signature on Godwin Rental Contract paperwork. Maintain presence of all required driver (licenses, medical cards, etc.) documents at all times. Maintain log books with entries for driving, on-duty, etc. in accordance with DOT guidelines. Maintain mileage and fuel logs as required. Perform daily visual inspections of Godwin delivery equipment and documenting any items in need of service. Comply with all company and customer safety requirements. Maintain communication with Dispatch at all times as to location, estimated arrival/departure times, and any potential issues. Assist in the set-up of Godwin pumping equipment as necessary. Assist customer with start-up instructions as needed or requested. Available for rotating on-call schedule for off-hours emergency driving assignments. Assist as needed in preparing rental equipment for dispatch and ensuring yard is organized and maintained. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.
    QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours in order to respond to customer emergencies. Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effective with co-workers, supervisors/managers and customers both verbally and in writing. Ability to read blueprints or other layout and design documents. Basic computer skills. Demonstrated ability to safely operate diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment, i.e., forklifts, front-end loaders, tow motors, telehandlers, etc. Demonstrated ability to safely operate small and large diameter fusion machines. Mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair simple mechanical issues.
    Experience in the construction industry preferred. Valid drivers license with good driving record; Class A preferred or willingness to upgrade Class B license. Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.). Prior experience operating heavy industrial equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, air tuggers, etc. Prior experience fusing HDPE pipe ranging from 2 inch to 48 inches. Specialized Knowledge Required: Department of Transportation Medical card. Fusion machine certification preferred. Forklift certification preferred. 1-3 years experience
