Job Title - CLASS A CDL DELIVERY DRIVER
Location: New Bedford MA Truss/Panel
 Direct Hire position $28–$39/HR (DOE) – Full Benefits 
  1. Moffett – Truck mounted Forklift Experience – MANDATORY
  2. Familiar with Roll-off trailers and Oversized Loads - ESSENTIAL
  3. Early Hours (May need to start as early as 4am on some days depending on delivery locations)  
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for driving delivery vehicles and operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites safely and efficiently. All of New England and some parts NY . 
Ensures compliance with DOT regulations, maintains delivery schedules, and provides professional customer service while operating vehicles weighing over 26,000 pounds and towing trailers exceeding 10,000 pounds.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Load or assist with loading and securing materials and supplies inside delivery vehicles 
  • Deliver customer orders safely and accurately to designated job sites 
  • Maneuver vehicles into loading/unloading positions and ensure proper equipment placement 
  • Assist customers with unloading materials while protecting products and customer property 
  • Verify delivery details and maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage, and shipment records 
  • Check delivered items against invoices to ensure order accuracy 
  • Serve as a customer service liaison and professionally resolve customer concerns 
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform routine safety inspections on delivery vehicles 
  • Use handheld devices for DVIR and HOS compliance (when not driving) 
  • Maintain hours-of-service logs and complete pre/post-trip inspections 
  • Perform product return pickups and complete associated paperwork as needed 
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load and unload materials 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and participate in safety meetings 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Must be at least 21 years old 
  • Valid Driver’s License required 
  • Valid Class A CDL required 
  • Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required 
  • 2+ years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred 
  • Ability to pass MVR report 
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card within five (5) days of request 
  • Less than 5 moving violations within the last 5 years 
  • Basic math and measurement skills 
  • Ability to read and speak English 
  • Moffett experience required 
  • Experience with roll-off trailers and wide loads preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work performed in a production environment with exposure to temperature changes, dust, noise, hazardous chemicals, and moving mechanical equipment 
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 100 lbs 
  • Occasionally lift up to 200 lbs with assistance 
  • Ability to climb, kneel, push, and perform physical labor as required 
  • Must be able to safely operate delivery vehicles, including entering/exiting cab and maintaining full visibility while driving
