Class A Building Maintenance Technician - Boca Raton, FL

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
$25.00 – $28.00/hour (DOE)

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A Building Maintenance Technician to join a commercial property management team in Boca Raton. This position will begin as a 2-month contract assignment, with the possibility of extension or permanent hire based on performance and business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external tenants

 

  • Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance for commercial buildings

 

  • Maintain and service heating equipment, air- and water-cooled chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV systems, and air distribution systems

 

  • Monitor and adjust mechanical and pneumatic systems including VFDs, steam stations, control gauges, panels, valves, thermostats, and diffusers

 

  • Troubleshoot and repair base building systems

 

  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM standards

 

  • Repair plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, flush valves, lavatories)

 

  • Replace lamps and light fixtures

 

  • Conduct quality control inspections

 

  • Complete general building repairs (doors, ceilings, handrails, floors, drywall, locks, cabinets, baseboards, wall coverings, etc.)

 

  • Manage structural repairs including roof and glass leaks; respond to tenant service calls

 

  • Change ceiling tiles and complete punch list items for tenant build-outs

 

  • Monitor and manage card access systems

 

  • Assist with irrigation inspections and repairs; maintain irrigation pumping stations

 

  • Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, warehouse fronts, riser rooms, and telephone rooms

 

  • Inspect buildings during inclement weather

 

  • Document and report all activities to supervisor

 

  • Comply with all building codes, safety regulations, and company policies

 

  • Complete all required safety training

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong “can-do” attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset

 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED required

 

  • 2–3 years of recent experience operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting

 

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, heaters, pumps, compressors, refrigerant and water systems

 

  • Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)

 

  • Contingent on a drug and background check 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, and climb as needed

 

  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. (tools, pumps, equipment)

 

  • Safely install rigging and lifting devices

 

  • Bend, reach, and move equipment as required
