Manage medical professional and general liability claims of moderate to high severity in compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Identify, obtain, and analyze documentation such as medical records, medical bills, contracts, photos, state health surveys.
• Conduct witness interviews, including on-site visits.
• Review and analyze policy coverage, including drafting coverage denials and reservation of rights letters.
• Investigate and evaluate liability, damages, settlement values, verdict ranges, and percent chance to win.
• Establish expense and indemnity reserves.
• Establish and maintain litigation budget.
• Coordinate and manage litigation plan of action and defense counsel.
• Retain experts as necessary.
• Review, analyze, and process vendor invoices.
