Investigate and manage Hospitals, Allied Facilities, and Physicians liability claims on a primary and excess basis.
• Manage investigations of claims including coverage issues, liability compensability, and damages.
• Communicate with attorneys, account representatives, agents, doctors, and insureds regarding claims disposition.
• Establish appropriate reserves.
• Coordinate discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel or panel attorneys.
• Negotiate settlement packages, authorize payment within scope of authority, and ensure timely issuance of disbursements.
