Resolve high complexity and high exposure medical malpractice, specified medical, allied health, and senior care claims within granted authority.
• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve complex medical malpractice, specified medical, allied health, and senior care claims.
• Evaluate issues of liability and damages in assigned cases.
• Establish loss and expense reserves.
• Manage litigation strategy.
• Communicate adverse case developments to Claims Manager and provide information on issues affecting Medical and Healthcare Practice business.
• Ensure adherence to internal large loss and claims review reporting requirements.
• Manage Third Party Administrator relationships including reporting responsibilities.
• Contribute to implementation of initiatives, strategies, and action plans introduced by Claims Manager.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and development activities.
