We are seeking a results-driven Director of Claims to lead a high-performing Claims Operations team. Director of Claims Key Responsibilities

• Lead claims operations to meet turnaround, accuracy, and productivity goals.
• Oversee disability, Paid Family Leave, critical illness/accident, medical, vision, dental, and flexible benefits claims.
• Monitor workflows and ensure efficient processing of complex or high-dollar claims.
• Track and report claims metrics, identify quality issues, and implement process improvements.
• Coach, mentor, and manage union and non-union staff to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure team maintains up-to-date knowledge of benefit plans, systems, and regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership on claims strategy, compliance, and operational initiatives.

Director of Claims Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (Associate degree considered)
• NYS Accident & Health Adjuster License (or ability to obtain after hire)
• Claims handling experience (health, disability, Paid Family Leave, or self-funded plans)
• Management or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of claims systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
