Responsibilities:

- Responsible for management of assigned first line leaders and oversight of their teams, which includes hiring, training, coaching, performance management and salary activities
- Leads team toward desired department and company goals to maintain our position as the industry leader
- Sets team culture and vision, creating an inclusive and high performing work environment
- Manages and oversees Auto or Fire claims on behalf of the company
- Responsible for the review and control of the operation’s claim activities including investigations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments
- Has authority to make decisions in the best interest of our customers and employees
- Will engage with internal and external counsel on litigation and legislative/regulatory activities
- Responsible for coordinating, communicating, and implementing new Company programs, policies, practices, and procedures
- Will have the opportunity to contribute to high level project work that impacts our customers and organizations as a whole
- Ensures compliance with company procedures, applicable federal/state laws, and legal requirements
- Suggests methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures, and technologies
- Develops collaborative relationships by working closely with leaders from other claim segments
- May participate and/or lead committees and project groups, as requested
- May work extended hours and/or weekends based on business need
Work Locations: Bloomington, IL; Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; or Tempe, AZ.
Where You'll Work: This is a hybrid position which allows you to spend some of your time working from home as well as some time working collaboratively in-office. During the job training period you may have a higher percentage of time spent in-office to support your learning experience. There is a 2 week a month minimum expectation in the office.
Hours of operation are continually evaluated and may change based on business need. Successful candidates are able and willing to work flexible work shifts and may be asked to work overtime and/or irregular hours.
Qualifications:
Competitive candidates will demonstrate:
- Prior Property & Casualty Claim handling experience:
- Injury/Casualty claim experience desired
- Litigation Management experience desired
- Claim Investigation experience desired
- Data Analysis
- Experience leading other leaders
- Demonstrates horizontal/peer influence
- Insurance education and/or higher education
- A valid driver’s license is required
Demonstrates personal and professional development. This includes but is not limited to:
- Insurance Education
- Post graduate education
- Leadership Sciences; (i.e. Lean, Kanban, Agile)
- Claims legal, data analytics, or technical acumen
- Organizational Design or Change Management
- Board/Committee Experience
Employees must successfully complete all required training, including applicable licensing exam(s), MVRs, and background checks required of various state(s).

- Potential starting salary range: $137,000 - $179,000
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 24% of base salary
