OverviewWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join our traffic engineering services team in Dallas, Texas. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of diverse traffic engineering experience on projects including or closely related to traffic impact analyses, traffic operational analysis, traffic signal design, and transportation planning for site development. Candidates must have the ability to effectively manage multiple, individual projects and support personnel, and a willingness to perform a variety of technical and production tasks supporting various project types and project managers. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain within six months, is required. Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is preferred.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare or assist in preparing the detailed construction drawings for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signs, pavement markings, and similar items using AutoCAD Civil 3DWork with a team in the preparation of traffic engineering studies including technical analyses and evaluations for projects of various size and complexityPrepare clear and concise technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication including all supporting analyses and documents (exhibits, etc.)Prepare or assist in preparing traffic control plans, traffic management plans, and similar itemsProduce high quality work and implement and maintain QA/QC proceduresOversee and complete the technical aspects of various traffic engineering projectsCoordinate with other disciplines, support services, and subconsultantsCoordinate with government agencies, utility providers or other outside agenciesCoordinate with Clients depending on project roleIdentify and interpret applicable codes, standards, or other design requirementsReview plans, technical specifications, and contract documentsUtilize specialized traffic engineering software to assist with analyses (e.g., Synchro, Vistro, Vissim, Trip Generation web app, etc.)Research and analyze traffic safety data including crash recordsPerform field observations related to traffic operations and safety for site development and design of traffic control devicesEffectively participate in public hearings, neighborhood meetings, and Client meetingsRepresent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agenciesPrepare, maintain, and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projectsEffectively plan and implement project schedules to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryPrepare scopes, budgets, and proposals for traffic engineering projectsReview and approve monthly billings of projectsServe as
