At Galloway, you're not just building communities — you're building a fulfilling career.

About the Role

Are you a seasoned project leader ready to guide complex civil engineering projects from concept through completion? Galloway & Company Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our growing team. This is a client-facing position that blends hands-on project management, technical leadership, cross-discipline coordination, and relationship building, all within a highly collaborative environment.

As a Civil Project Manager at Galloway, you will lead multiple projects across various stages of development while balancing timelines, budgets, and performance standards. You’ll maintain active communication with internal teams, external clients, agencies, and consultants, ensuring projects are executed with precision and excellence. This role also involves business development—helping maintain existing client relationships and forging new ones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing budgets, timelines, quality, and overall project performance.

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.

  • Manage and oversee commercial land development projects throughout Florida.

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for stormwater management design, including pond design and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using ICPR (Stormwise).

  • Ensure project designs comply with Florida Water Management District requirements and statewide stormwater regulations.

  • Review and prepare proposals, qualification packages, contracts, and promotional materials in partnership with senior management.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager or Team Manager to address complex project issues and secure necessary internal approvals.

  • Lead internal quality control efforts and ensure project deliverables meet company standards and client expectations.

  • Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers, supporting their professional growth and development.

  • Support business development initiatives, including client retention, networking, and pursuit of new opportunities. Some travel may be required to maintain and expand key client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing commercial land development projects within the Florida market.

  • Strong stormwater design experience, including pond design and modeling using ICPR (Stormwise) software.

  • Thorough understanding of Florida statewide stormwater regulations and Water Management District permitting requirements.

  • Experience utilizing Bentley software, including StormCAD, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.

  • Demonstrated client management and relationship-building skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor.

  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring, and developing junior engineers and design staff.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry with progressive project management responsibilities.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required based on experience level.

  • PMP certification is highly preferred and demonstrates strong project management expertise.

Estimated starting salary for this position is between $120,000 – $140,000.
