Traveling Civil Project Manager – Data Center ConstructionLocation:Abilene, Texas (Travel Required)Compensation:$120,000 – $185,000 Base Salary + Bonus + BenefitsPer Diem:Provided 7 days per week when assigned more than 60 miles from home/jobsiteEmployment Type:Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale site development and infrastructure packages for mission-critical data center projects throughout Texas and surrounding regions. This role will oversee civil construction operations on projects exceeding $100 million in total value, with a primary focus on earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and site development.The ideal candidate has a strong background managing self‑perform and subcontracted civil scopes on large industrial, energy, manufacturing, semiconductor, or data center projects.ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of civil construction for data center developments from preconstruction through closeout.Lead projects valued at $100M+ while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.Oversee large-scale:Mass earthworkSite gradingExcavationStorm drainage systemsWater and sanitary sewer installationUnderground utility constructionRoadway and paving activitiesCoordinate field operations with superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and owners.Develop and manage project schedules, procurement plans, and cost controls.Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.Conduct project meetings and provide executive-level reporting.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.Manage project financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, and contract administration.Travel to active project sites as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.7+ years of civil construction project management experience.Proven experience managing projects exceeding $100 million .Strong knowledge of:Earthwork operationsHeavy civil constructionUnderground utilitiesSite developmentData center constructionExperience with project scheduling software and construction management platforms.Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills.Ability to travel extensively and support projects throughout Texas and neighboring states.ExperienceData center site developmentIndustrial or mission-critical constructionLarge-scale utility infrastructure projectsSelf-perform civil contractor experienceDesign-build delivery methodsCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $120,000 – $185,000Annual Performance BonusVehicle Allowance or Company VehicleFuel CardCompany Laptop & PhoneMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off and HolidaysPer Diem paid 7 days per week when working more than 60 miles from assigned home location/jobsiteTravel expenses coveredKey Project TypesHyperscale Data CentersCloud Computing FacilitiesMission-Critical InfrastructureIndustrial Site DevelopmentUtility and Infrastructure ExpansionsThis position offers the opportunity to lead high-profile civil packages on some of the largest data center developments in the region while advancing into senior leadership roles within a rapidly growing market.Talent Corps is an equal opportunity employer.
