Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Project Manager to assist with our projects in Detroit!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including site development, roadway, utility, stormwater, and infrastructure improvements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal and private-sector clients
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and risk management
- Prepare and oversee the development of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, surveying, and construction services
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Lead meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
- Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development for junior staff
- Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client pursuits
- Monitor project performance and ensure adherence to quality control standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including:
- Civil site development
- Municipal infrastructure (roads, utilities, stormwater systems)
- Private development and infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in project management within a consulting environment
- Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory coordination
- Proficiency with civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
