    Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our Land Development team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.Responsibilities Manages land development civil engineering projects efficiently (meets schedules and budgets)Leads land development civil teams to produce civil plan sets.Coordinates with Owner/Architect and outside team members to execute projects.Effectively manages internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.) – able to communicate/manage technical details as well as schedules and budgets.Implements QA/QC program and ensures compliance within project team.Works with City/County staff for approval of project plans.Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources through differing project stages.Administers the construction services portions of projects including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, etc.Effectively manages up to five (5) assigned technical personnel including: Assigns and oversees project assignments;Reviews work for accuracy and completeness;Trains staff and promotes professional development;Maintains job satisfaction and morale;Assists with performance evaluations; andRecommends compensation adjustments and/or promotions.Required Skills Demonstrates competence in fundamental civil engineering design principles for land development projects.Experienced in cost estimating, bid phase assistance construction administration, and general construction methods.Demonstrates proficiency with current computer aided design (CAD/Civil 3D) and production software and ability to learn new versions or new technology.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to manage staff and direct resources effectivelyAbility to effectively communicate at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to manage design projects in a profitable mannerUnderstanding of alternative delivery methodsExtensive knowledge of geometric design and other related design elementsKnowledge and experience with the full project lifecycle from preliminary studies through final designTrack record of successfully winning and delivering projectsExperience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design teamExperience preparing proposals, scopes of work and qualification packagesExperience developing and implementing marketing pursuit strategiesAbility to develop relationships with peers, clients, and public agency staff.Ability to coach and motivate othersQualifications Minimum of eight (8) years of total experience, with four (4) as a Project Manager (or equivalent).Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).This position requires travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United StatesCompensation The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualification.
