Job Description

Civil Professional Engineer (PE) Position Overview:

We are seeking a licensed Civil Professional Engineer (PE) to join our growing civil engineering division of our multi-disciplinary firm. The successful candidate will lead the design and management of land development and infrastructure projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a client liaison. This is a key role with direct involvement in design strategy, permitting, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage civil/site design projects from concept through construction.
Prepare and review site plans, grading plans, stormwater management systems, utility layouts, and erosion control designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Oversee and participate in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and permit applications.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams across disciplines.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
Support business development through client relationship building and proposal assistance.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's a plus).
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
5-10 years of experience in civil/site development, including permitting and design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; additional software experience (HydroCAD, StormCAD, etc.) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., MassDEP, Conservation Commissions).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to lead projects and manage teams effectively.
