Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (1–4 Years)

A well-established regional law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–4 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing litigation practice in New Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain meaningful courtroom experience, work on sophisticated defense matters, and develop professionally within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload while working closely with experienced litigators on challenging civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities
- Manage assigned litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda supporting litigation strategy.
- Handle written discovery and participate in depositions.
- Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Draft and argue dispositive motions.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, experts, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines and maintain organized case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active admission to the New Hampshire State Bar.
- 1–4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, professional liability, workers' compensation, or related practice areas.
- Experience in New Hampshire state and/or federal courts is preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
