Summary:We are seeking a Litigation Associate with 3â4 years of civil litigation experience to join a dynamic litigation practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing cases from inception through trial, working on sophisticated litigation matters in both state and federal courts. The successful candidate will have strong advocacy, legal writing, and analytical skills, along with a desire to develop into a trusted advisor while collaborating with experienced litigators. What You'll Do:- Manage civil litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare and file documents in both state and federal courts.
- Conduct and defend depositions, including witness and expert preparation.
- Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
- Manage discovery, document review, and motion practice.
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams to deliver exceptional client service.
- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Experience You'll Need:- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- 3â4 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm.
- Experience handling state and federal court filings.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Strong motion practice and discovery experience.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Trial preparation experience required; actual trial and/or judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
