Civil/Highway Department Manager

Position SummaryWe are seeking a Roadway Department Manager to lead and expand our Transportation practice in the NY/NJ market. This high-visibility leadership role is for an experienced PE who can build a team, grow client relationships, and shape the strategic direction of a rapidly growing engineering firm.Who We AreEnovate is an engineering firm that specializes in transportation engineering, civil engineering, construction management, and monitoring services. We work on flagship projects in both the public and private sectors and have a diverse team consisting of professional engineers, construction managers, and technicians from varied backgrounds.RequirementsProvide technical and strategic leadership for highway and roadway design projectsOversee preparation and review of geometric design, alignments, grading, MPT, drainage, utilities, and traffic barriersManage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and designersServe as technical lead in coordination with structural, traffic, and construction teamsDevelop and maintain client relationships with DOTs, NJTA, agencies, and prime firmsContribute to proposal development and strategic business growthSupport long-term practice development and hiring strategyQualifications DesiredBachelor's DegreePE License8+ years of experience in the engineering fieldKnowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, State DOT, NJTA, and other NY/NJ local standardsExperience and knowledge of MicroStationKnowledge of AutoCAD and AutoTURNExperience leading teams or managing staffStrong client-facing and proposal development experience preferredEntrepreneurial mindset with desire to grow a practiceUncompromising IntegrityExcellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, bend, twist, and lift up to 15lbs.Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
