We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Civil Engineer with a specialization in Transportation to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be primarily focusing on the design and planning of transportation systems, including roadway geometrics and infrastructure designs. You will be working on a range of exciting projects, from local roads to major highways, and will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our transportation networks.

Responsibilities:

As a Civil Engineer - Transportation, your responsibilities will include:

1. Designing, developing, and executing engineering projects related to transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and traffic systems.
2. Utilizing software tools such as MicroStation, PowerGEOPAK, OpenRoads for designing and modeling transportation systems.
3. Performing complex analysis and studies related to roadway geometrics and developing design solutions to address transportation-related challenges.
4. Preparing and reviewing technical documents, including design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
5. Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
6. Ensuring all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
7. Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
8. Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure the projects are implemented as per the design specifications.
9. Participating in project meetings and providing updates on project status, design concepts, and addressing any potential issues.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Civil Engineer - Transportation position must have:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on transportation design and roadway geometrics.
3. Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as MicroStation, PowerGEOPAK, and OpenRoads.
4. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal transportation design standards and regulations.
5. Excellent technical skills, including the ability to perform complex calculations and use modeling software.
6. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex engineering concepts clearly.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
9. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
