Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Civil Engineer Technician 3 will monitor vendor compliance with technical material specifications, witness testing, perform inspections, and review test reports to ensure quality and accuracy. Responsibilities include tracking purchase orders, supporting supplier communication, documenting results, and resolving material discrepancies. The role requires recommending material acceptance or rejection, preparing reports, and supporting supplier evaluations. Candidates must have experience interpreting engineering drawings, performing material testing and inspections, and working with quality assurance processes. Prior experience in transmission utility systems and manufacturing processes is required. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.
Pay Rate: $30.38 - $43.4

Responsibilities:
* With manager oversight and approval:
* Monitor vendor/supplier compliance with technical material specifications to validate that quality material is supplied throughout transmission system.
* Alert the manager of any compliance concerns.
* Provide assistance to Supply Chain by tracking and monitoring purchase orders and order progress including maintaining regular communication with the vendor to obtain current order status.
* Witness testing and perform inspections of TEL material, as defined in technical specifications, at the vendor's facility.
* This includes verifying the correct tests are performed, that the correct number of samples are being tested and that the test procedure will yield accurate results.
* Review test reports for accuracy and completeness and compare results to technical specifications and industry standards.
* Prepare written trip reports documenting activities and results of specification testing.
* Work with personnel and the material vendor to resolve any quality deficiencies and/or discrepancies.
* Recommend acceptance or rejection of vendor material and prepare material release reports.
* Provide supplier/vendor performance history feedback, as witnessed, to aid in the completion of Supply Chain's annual supplier/vendor performance evaluation.
* Review and propose edits to technical material specifications.
* Provide assistance with developing and qualifying new suppliers/vendors. This includes assessing the supplier's/vendor's manufacturing facility and providing written evaluations to personnel.
* Provide recommendations, guidance, and assistance to construction contractors in the areas of material quality assurance and control for components of transmission system. This may include accompanying the contractor to the supplier's/vendor's manufacturing facility.
Requirements:
* A degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science or a closely-related field preferred.
* With an applicable Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience is required.
