Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join a strong team of technical and business professionals in our municipal engineering team. As part of the Municipal team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of innovative and diverse projects, including the design of civil and municipal engineering projects for highways and local roads, public utilities and public works, parks, trails, and related infrastructure projects.
This entry-level position involves working collaboratively with design teams in the development of construction plans and specifications; preparing reports, studies, and construction contract documents; computing quantities and preparing cost estimates; performing field observations and assisting in the coordination and management of construction activities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure project design and field objectives are met. This position will be directly supervised by a Licensed Engineer.
Your Key Responsibilities
Support a team in the development of civil designs, preparation of plans and specifications, reports and other technical tasks on projects under the supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Perform field work/ construction activities as assigned by the supervisor.
