We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the civil site design and utility conveyance system planning, design, and delivery for large-scale municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. This role requires technical expertise, the ability to coordinate effectively with other disciplines, and strong communication and teamwork with staff in our local and regional offices. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in complex public infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, transmission mains, storage facilities, and integrated water systems. This role focuses on developing design solutions for site development, grading, and linear utility systems. Responsibilities include technical analysis, preparation of construction documents, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compliant designs. Key Responsibilities: • With high-level goals provided, create and sign off on basic to highly complex engineering designs involving site layout development, site grading and drainage, roadway, utility improvements, hydraulics and hydrology calculations, water distribution systems, collection systems, storage tanks and impoundments, foundation designs, stormwater infrastructure and treatment, and occasionally single-story structures. • Perform engineering analyses and calculations related to pipeline hydraulics, system capacity, and site drainage. • Prepare and review construction documentation, including civil plans, utility layouts, profiles, specifications, cost estimates, bid packages, and as-built drawings. • Design and support implementation of stormwater conveyance systems, including pipe networks and open channel drainage systems. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (survey, geotechnical, structural, environmental) to integrate site and utility designs into overall project delivery. • Support utility master planning and feasibility studies, focusing on alignment, sizing, and expansion of pipeline networks. • Perform plan checks and design reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. • Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using tools such as H2ONet, Hydra, and WSPG to support pipeline and stormwater system design. • Assist with permitting, site assessments, and constructability reviews for civil and utility infrastructure projects. • Contribute to cost estimating, value engineering, and optimization of pipeline and site development designs. • Promote continuous improvement through application of engineering best practices in civil and utility design. We will provide the encouragement and support so you can become a strong leader within our industry. **Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 10 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. **Preferred Qualifications** • Team player, excellent written and verbal skills. • Client-focused and ability to partner with clients • Negotiation and presentation skills **Skills & Abilities** • Demonstrated experience leading water-related engineering projects. • Proven ability to guide teams of engineers and scientists. • Strong technical expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure design. • Commitment to high-quality work, client service, and professional development. • Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. • Knowledge of engineer principles of design.
