As an integral member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's success by:
Responsibilities
Working as a Task Leader supporting site design projects nationwide.
Managing technical aspects, ensuring accuracy, and driving the technical vision of projects.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and that firm policies are followed
Conducting site inspections, proposal creation, and client meetings
Mentoring junior staff, offering technical guidance, and supervising their work
Developing project design criteria, alignments, grading plans, utility and drainage plans, construction plans, construction specifications, and cost estimates
Writing of technical reports
Site grading and drainage
Utility coordination
Utility design (water, sewer, etc.)
Paving and grading
Erosion control and stormwater management
Green Infrastructure and Geotechnical considerations
Completing Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis of drainage systems and design of stormwater management
Delivering site design projects from initiation through final design
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer). 5 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
