Our talented staff of over 650 professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction solutions.

Due to MSGs continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Design Group Manager to lead our projects in Columbus, OH.

Key Responsibilities --------------------

• Lead multiple design teams in daily operations
• Develop staffing needs and distribute work to teams to level workload
• Work with team leaders and project managers to monitor overall health of projects, scope, schedule, budget, etc.
• Monitor group workload utilization and billable hours
• Work with Civil Service Line leaders to identify additional staffing needs, i.e., training personnel
• Mentor staff while executing office and company growth plan
• Prepare proposals and manage projects
• Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across various professional services, including:
• Surveying
• Environmental
• Geotechnical
• Structural
• Traffic
• Transportation
• Landscape Architecture
• Funding Strategies
• Grant Writing
• Construction Administration

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise --------------------------------

• Have a record of managing multiple civil design engineers or teams, projects, and disciplines
• Proven management process and style
• Willing to mentor and teach younger staff
• Private development experience
