Our talented staff of over 650 professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction solutions.
Due to MSGs continued growth, a new opening is available for a Civil Design Group Manager to lead our projects in Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities
--------------------
- Lead multiple design teams in daily operations
- Develop staffing needs and distribute work to teams to level workload
- Work with team leaders and project managers to monitor overall health of projects, scope, schedule, budget, etc.
- Monitor group workload utilization and billable hours
- Work with Civil Service Line leaders to identify additional staffing needs, i.e., training personnel
- Mentor staff while executing office and company growth plan
- Prepare proposals and manage projects successfully
- Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across various professional services, including:
- Surveying
- Environmental
- Geotechnical
- Structural
- Traffic
- Transportation
- Landscape Architecture
- Funding Strategies
- Grant Writing
- Construction Administration
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

- Have a record of managing multiple civil design engineers or teams, projects, and disciplines
- Proven management process and style
