Office: Work in any of the Firm's 3 California offices with work-from-home overlay opportunity.We are conducting a search on behalf of a well-established law firm seeking an experienced civil defense litigation attorney.PositionCivil defense litigation in the subject matters of mortgage banking and real property, and the like.Successful candidate will be an integral part of the litigation team, handling a wide range of complex legal matters. The ideal candidate is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality representation from intake through resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesManage civil litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement.Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; take/defend depositions.Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy memos and briefs.Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.Support trial preparation and, when appropriate, participate in trial proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues.Collaborate on case strategy with senior partners.Ensure deadlines are met and case documentation is thorough and up to date.QualificationsSubject matter knowledge in the following areas a plus but not necessary: mortgage servicing, foreclosure, real property, title insurance, and related.Experience in civil litigation, federal, and state litigation.Demonstrated experience managing cases, drafting substantive motions, and preparing for trial.Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.Highly organized and capable of managing multiple active cases.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Hard-working, self-motivated, disciplined, and affable.Detail-oriented.Passionate about delivering high-quality representation.Compensation & BenefitsAnnual salary of $130,000 - $195,000, plus bonus opportunities including quarterly billing incentives, attractive benefits package including 401(k); Liberal PTO; Flexible work hours, case events and deadlines permitting; and flexible work from home policy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
