The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $110,214.00 to $186,277.20. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Tysons, VA office four days per week.
Responsibilities
The Portfolio Manager IV leads and supports the entire credit process by facilitating the collection of financial information from clients and prospects, preparing and submitting credit packages for the approval of new loans and for the renewal of existing loans, working with the Relationship Manager(s) to draft term sheets/loan proposals, assist in structuring and underwriting, presenting credit packages to the appropriate loan committee and/or approvers, reviewing loan documents, both internally and attorney prepared, for accuracy prior to loan closing and the day-to-day management of upcoming maturities, past dues and documentation exceptions.
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for ongoing client and relationship management of the assigned portfolio by regularly monitoring client performance, industry trends, proactively identifying credit issues and developing remediation plans. Portfolio Manager is responsible for following the Eagle Bank policies and procedures around risk ratings, annual reviews, accuracy of financial statement spreading as well as compliance and regulatory review around all associated risks within the assigned portfolio.
The Portfolio Manager is a client facing role and will periodically join the Relationship Manager(s) and other internal Product Partner(s) in client and prospect calling efforts.
The role has no direct reports, but it encompasses training and mentoring Junior teammates including but not limited to Junior Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Underwriters and Interns.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in finance, business, and economics, accounting or related field
Associate's Degree (AA) in a business or finance related field and 3 additional years of experience in commercial credit or real estate analysis may be substituted for bachelor's degree
10 years experience in portfolio management and commercial underwriting including structuring and pricing loan transactions
Experience with underwriting transactions from conception to completion independently
Must be proficient in evaluating commercial credit risk
Must be able to work autonomously with minimal oversight from the RM and/or PM Manager.
Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and time/workflow management abilities
Successful web-based credit training through RMA, Omega or similar programs may be required within six months of hiring
Strong interpersonal and relationship development abilities, with thorough knowledge of commercial credit products
Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and groups both senior and junior across the company
Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
Proficient in credit underwriting, including but not limited to cash flow, enterprise valuation and collateral analysis
Proven ability to identify sales opportunities within a commercial loan environment
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of varying credit structure types, including but not limited to:
Term loans
Owner occupied CRE
Line of credit
Letter of credit
Ability to work on several loan requests simultaneously
Bank product knowledge
