The Preschool Disabilities teacher will be responsible for providing instruction to students ages 3-5 with special needs including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and multiple disabilities. The teacher will implement best practice strategies in the classroom while recognizing individual instructional needs as well as ABA teaching strategies and center teaching; provide accommodations and modifications to curriculum and materials to meet students' needs; communicate effectively with team members and parents; follow through on behavioral strategies and interventions that are driven by the students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP); and perform other responsibilities as assigned. The position also requires the teacher to oversee and provide support to Educational Support Professionals assigned to the classroom or individual students.
Candidates must hold proper New Jersey certification to teach both Special Education and Preschool students.

Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
Attends Board meetings and Public Hearings.

Prepare the BS/BA portion of the agenda.
Prepare legal notices at the direction of the Business Administrator.

Prepares all tax exempt certificates and processes all insurance certificate requests for the district.
Prepares and processes bid specifications, maintains contract files and closeout documents.
Responsible for the coordinating of the Educational Data Services (EDS) cooperative bidding program for the District.
Assists with all OPRA requests as needed.
Responsible for the handling of all student, employee, and public accident report forms for the district including troubleshooting regarding claim issues.
Processes all Board approved contract documents.
Prepares and processes all tuition and transportation billing.
Prepares all requisitions and purchase orders for the Business Office and the Technology Department.
Responsible for training new employees in the use of accounting software.
Assists in bookkeeping, check disbursement and monthly reconciliations for all funds.
Assists the Board Secretary/Business Administrator in the annual audit preparation.
Serves as the Food Service Alternate, assists with the processing of meal applications and SNEARS reports.
Assists the Board Secretary/Business Administrator in carrying out management policies in the area of labor relations and personnel in a confidential manner.
Performs such other duties as assigned by the Board Secretary/Business Administrator and/or Superintendent.
Terms of Employment: Twelve month contract. Salary determined by the Board of Education on recommendation of the Superintendent and in line with Board policy. Evaluation: Performance on the job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board policy and State law.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill an open position as a Special Education Emotional Support Teacher at New Albany School.
