We are a growing organization supporting critical national security missions through expertise in language and culture, training and education, information technology, cybersecurity, and intelligence operations.

We are currently seeking Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analysts (OLA IV) to support mission-critical intelligence operations at Fort Meade, Maryland. This expert-level position is designed for highly experienced cryptologic linguists with exceptional Mandarin language proficiency and extensive experience leading complex language exploitation, intelligence production, quality assurance, and mission support activities.

Essential Job Functions:

The Chinese-Mandarin Operational Language Analyst (OLA IV) serves as a senior subject matter expert in cryptologic language processing, providing advanced translation, transcription, analysis, quality assurance, and technical leadership in support of national security missions. This role requires extensive experience supporting intelligence operations, mentoring linguists, and delivering mission-critical intelligence products in highly classified environments.

Perform expert-level cryptologic language processing of Mandarin Chinese audio and graphic materials.

Translate, transcribe, and gist highly complex foreign language communications supporting national security missions.

Identify, exploit, and report Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) and other intelligence of operational value.

Produce, review, and edit high-quality intelligence reports and language products in accordance with Government standards.

Perform advanced quality control (QC) reviews to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and compliance with mission requirements.

Serve as a senior mentor and technical advisor to Operational Language Analysts, providing guidance on language exploitation techniques, tradecraft, and intelligence reporting.

Support target development, network analysis, speaker identification, language identification, and other cryptologic intelligence activities.

Develop and maintain mission-specific working aids, glossaries, databases, and reference materials.

Conduct advanced linguistic, cultural, and contextual research to enhance operational effectiveness.

Collaborate with intelligence analysts, mission partners, and Government stakeholders to support intelligence production and operational planning.

Ensure adherence to all security protocols, classification guidance, and quality assurance standards.

Support additional language and intelligence mission requirements as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph.

Minimum Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 proficiency in both Audio and Graphic Mandarin Chinese.

ILR Level 3 Listening proficiency may be required.

ILR Level 3 Reading proficiency may be required.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 15 years of qualifying full-time experience; or19 years of qualifying full-time experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in cryptologic language processing, related language disciplines, and/or cryptologic intelligence operations.

Related language experience may include:

  • Oral interpretation and translation
  • Non-cryptologic audio or graphic translation
  • Document exploitation (DOMEX)
  • Formal language instruction or teaching

Cryptologic experience may include:

  • Target development
  • Network analysis
  • Intelligence report drafting
  • Speaker identification
  • Language identification

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate:

At least 8 of the required 15 years performing advanced cryptologic language processing equivalent to OLA III duties, including:

  • Translation
  • Transcription
  • Gisting
  • Intelligence reporting
  • Quality control (QC)
  • Mentoring and technical leadership

At least 8 of the required 15 years of qualifying experience performed in the required target language (Mandarin Chinese).

For candidates with experience supporting multiple languages, at least 1 of the required 8 years in Mandarin Chinese must have been obtained within the 6 years immediately preceding resume submission.

Expert-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese language exploitation and cryptologic language processing.

Extensive experience producing accurate, high-quality translations, transcriptions, gists, and intelligence reports.

Exceptional analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Proven leadership and mentoring experience in operational intelligence environments.

The ability to independently solve highly complex linguistic and intelligence challenges.

A commitment to delivering timely, accurate, and mission-focused intelligence products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Desired Skills:

Experience supporting the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community (IC).

Extensive experience leading language teams, mentoring linguists, and conducting quality assurance reviews.

Experience supporting target development, network analysis, and operational intelligence missions.

Strong knowledge of cryptologic language processing methodologies and Intelligence Community reporting standards.

Experience supporting high-priority, mission-critical operations in classified environments.
