The future is bright at Morton on Swale Children's Resource Centre. Join us as we empower and support children and young people with complex disabilities and health care needs, inspiring them to reach their full potential.

 About the role

Morton on Swale Children's Resource Centre provides support to children and young people with disabilities. We offer short breaks and day care and support young people to access local facilities and have adventures.

Many young people we support have autism with varying levels of challenging behaviours, some have complex health needs requiring additional support with moving and transferring, epilepsy management, administrating of medication and gastro and feed care for which you would receive training.

As part of your role, you will carry out personal care, housekeeping, key working, and medication duties.

About You

We're looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and highly skilled professionals who:

  • Are child-focused with a positive approach
  • Understand safeguarding in a registered childcare setting
  • Communicate effectively and adaptively, especially with children who may not use words to speak
  • Are willing to complete a Level 4 apprenticeship as part of the role

We look forward to exploring your interest and receiving your application.

It is an exciting time in Children and Young Peoples Services in North Yorkshire as we plan our approach in respect of the Families First Partnership Programme and how we will be responding to the social care reforms. Work is underway to plan our approach and implementations for 2027. As a result of this, some realignment may happen with job roles in the future, we want to be transparent about this in respect of this role.
