Job Summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring ChildLine Caseworkers (Novice) to support Pennsylvania’s mandated child protective services program. In this role, you’ll receive, evaluate, and process reports of suspected child abuse/neglect and refer cases to the appropriate investigative agencies in accordance with the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL).

Key Responsibilities

• Receive phone calls and written referrals from mandated reporters and the public
• Interview callers, gather sensitive/confidential details, and enter information into a database
• Determine whether allegations meet CPSL definitions and route reports to the correct agencies (county Children & Youth, OCYF, licensing, law enforcement, etc.)
• Provide callers with community resources and referrals when appropriate
• De-escalate emotional/anxious callers to obtain clear, accurate information
• Research prior reports in the central database and share information with investigative agencies
• Review completed investigations to ensure documentation meets CPSL reporting requirements

• Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Ability to work on-site in Harrisburg, PA

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of social/economic conditions influencing human behavior
  • Interviewing experience/skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Prior experience with child protective services or similar organizations
