Job Summary Are you passionate about preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our childcare center. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for children by planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks. Key Responsibilities
Menu planning and meal prep — Create balanced, age-appropriate meals and snacks following dietary guidelines and portion sizes
Dietary accommodations — Adapt recipes for allergies, restrictions, and cultural preferences
Food safety compliance — Maintain proper handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature documentation
Inventory management — Monitor supplies and place bi-weekly orders within budget
Kitchen maintenance — Keep equipment, utensils, and storage areas clean
Requirements
Prior cooking experience, ideally in childcare or school settings
Knowledge of child nutrition guidelines
Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
