The Childcare Cook's responsibilities include:
- Daily preparation of meals for a childcare center serving 68 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers,
- Following a set menu,
- Following USDA and licensing meal service requirements,
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen,
- Working independently with the support and oversight from the Food Service Manager.
This position is located in a childcare center, which is set in an extended care
facility.
- Must be comfortable with senior citizens as well as people with disabilities.
- Must be comfortable around children ages 4wks-6years, however will not be directly caring for children.

Requirements:
- Must have experience in a food servicesetting, and experience with children (ages 1-6) is preferred.
- Must hold valid CPR first aid card, and food handler’s permit, or willingness to acquire those upon acceptance of position.
- Must submit to a DCYF criminal background inquiry, and Washington State training and registering system (MERIT).
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
This position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
