Job Details:
- Must be licensed at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC) - Out of state Independent Clinical Licensure is acceptable.
- This position provides a $250 monthly fuel stipend.
- Relocation Assistance.
- Provide a full scope of Child and Youth Behavioral Health (CYB) services to children dependents of military service members and their families at DoDEA schools and community schools, and military installations.
- Provide services include non-medical counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations Provide consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools.
- Provide consultations with parent and personnel at child daycare centers and schools.
- Provide consultation to the installation command staff regarding behavioral issues affecting children and youth.
- CYB MFLCs serving in schools for an average of nine-month assignments (based on local school calendars).
- CYB counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand assignments.
Qualifications:
- Must: Master’s degree (MS/MSW/MA) from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.
- Must: Must be licensed at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC) - Out of state Independent Clinical Licensure is acceptable.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and must speak fluent English.
- Must be able to obtain NACI clearance.
- Understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for military service members and their families.
- Ability to work with family programs and/or advocacy services, military, or civilian social service agencies, and with military family members.
- Ability to develop trusting helping relationships and work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to intervene in crises using sound professional judgment, ethical practice, and common sense.
- Ability to work independently to develop, implement, and evaluate safety and intervention plans to meet individual and family needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of military, state, federal, and local resources, and the ability to work with military and civilian medical, social service, law enforcement, and legal personnel on behalf of service members and their families.
- Understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for military service members and their families.
