Profile

We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the Pediatric Consult-Liaison Services at Children's Medical Center, Plano. The Consult-Liaison Service provides integrated clinical services for Children's Medical Center. Consult-Liaison services are provided to all pediatric inpatient services, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric neurology, and other sub-specialty services as well as ambulatory clinics and the emergency department. The position includes opportunities for supervision of trainees of various disciplines and participation in the department's academic mission.

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. The ideal candidate's background will include experience with psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, including the treatment of medical patients with cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs, and medical management. A commitment to an academic career is preferred.
